8″ Hickory Cooking Wood Splits
Our 8” cooking wood splits are sized to work with smaller cooking equipment, such as vertical smokers, larger kamado grills, offset smokers, and small camping grills. Each split is half the size of our cooking logs, at 8” long by 1-2” thick. And while we cut the size, we kept the quality – these ultra-premium kiln-dried splits are inspected and hand-selected by our expert team to ensure they meet our rigorous quality standards, so you know you’re getting an unmatched product.

The Story Behind our Hickory
Hickory is a dense and heavy hardwood that provides amazing flavor. The density of hickory means these cooking wood splits will burn longer than other hardwoods, therefore they will have more time to provide flavor.
Hickory is a popular cooking wood because it provides a bold and distinct flavor to any of your favorite foods. Our cooking splits are perfect for larger smokers or grills. If you have guests over and decide to grill or smoke food over hickory for them, be prepared to answer this question: “why does your food tastes so good? What makes this different?”
There are over 12 different species of hickory firewood, and all of them are great for cooking. We work with our suppliers to choose the best pieces and cuts of hickory. Our wood is sourced local to the the kiln, so that it undergoes our rigorous drying process while still fresh. This ensures that our wood has not started decomposing and is still hard hand dense.
The hickory firewood is delivered to our warehouse where our team hand selects each piece to ensure it meets our quality standards. We then hand cut each split, seeking to find the perfect size for great cooking.
We ship splits chunks all over the United States. Our hickory firewood is used and loved by cooks all over the country. Taste the difference yourself by ordering today!
